So really glad you're you're all let me try to say that again. Really glad you're all here today. It's an honor and a pleasure.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Thank you for caring about your book, your message, at your business. Alright. Thank you for telling your story, sharing your voice, making an impact. Right? That's all really, really important stuff, so just high five already, and kudos to you for being here and, doing good things in the world. And if we haven't met before, it's Benjoya. I'm a 4 time international best selling author. I help folks write and publish their books really fast, and really high quality. So book in as little as 5 weeks and book with being published, you know, in, like, 4 to 7 months.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:And this is a book that's dialed into your business. Right? Because it's wonderful to write a book, but if you don't have a strategy behind the book, then, your book isn't gonna do anything, and it's really not gonna help people and especially is not gonna help you. Right? So make sure you write your book strategically or rewrite your book strategically or think about the next time you write a book to do it strategically and use it to help you get clients and strategic partners, before your book is published. Right? You can actually absolutely do that. Okay, so how to write your book, 4% of your book in just 7 minutes without AI. So a couple things to think about, AI. And, you know, I know everybody and their mother's like, oh my god, AI, chat, GPT, all these exciting things. And there's so much brilliance and amazingness to AI.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [: Absolutely a: Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Right? But do not rely on AI to write your book. Right? This is really, really important. Right? Amazon, for example, right, when you publish your book, like, They're gonna be flagging AI content. Right? So, you know, yes, get your get some ideas from AI. Sure. About write your own content and more importantly, if you dig deeper and go back to what I said a little bit earlier today. Right, getting clients and strategic partners thanks to your book. You're not gonna get those results, those outcomes make that kind of impact from a robot.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:A robot is not gonna be able to do that for you. You need to talk to your ideal clients, to your ideal strategic partners about the book you're writing before you write it or as you're writing it. Right, so you can get the lens on what the book is gonna be about. Right? AI can't do that for you. AI can't have those conversations. Sure AI can extrapolate some data from those conversations, but AI is not listening to about ideal client talking to you and hearing the nuances of voice and seeing the changes in the person's face as you're speaking to them in person or in Zoom. Right? So I've said it several times. I'll say it again.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Use AI for research, for support, right in bringing your book forth a little bit easier, but the core of what you're writing, what you're teaching is not gonna come from AI. Right? Really, really, really important. Okay? If you wanna especially use your book to help grow your business, to use your book to attract those ideal clients and strategic partners. You know, if you hand somebody an AI written book, they're gonna know it's not for them. They're gonna know it's a general business book or maybe it's, you know, you told the AI, you know, to write around write a book for coaches. Right? I mean, It's all possible, but the quality, the level, I mean, we're if you wanna develop the knowing, the liking, the trusting, the authority with your ideal client, with your ideal strategic partner. Right? That's not the stuff that comes from AI that comes from talking to them, talking to your people. Right? So use AI for research and you a use AI to support, you know, the the the outer edges of your book, if you will.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Right, talk to your people about your book, follow a blueprint, understand your business and how you help people. Right? That's what's gonna help you bring forth a great book. Right? And then okay. Well, what about writing 4% of your book in just 7 minutes? So what you do, which is really, really fun is you make dictation a part of your book writing process. Right, and you may have heard this already. Right? Oh, I've heard people talk about dictation and, you know, dictating their whole book. You don't have to dictate your whole book, but make significant use of dictation in writing your book for several reasons. Okay? 1st and foremost, indeed is the speed and efficiency.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [: minutes, you can have: Ben Gioia ("joya") [:I'm not inviting you to speak extemporaneously with no guidance whatsoever. Right. That does not help you at all. Right? But if you follow some writing format or a way to capture your ideas, you know, in bullet point form, which I quite like right? And then you talk your way through those bullets within the space of 7 minutes, then you have some darn good 4%, 5% of your book right now. You know, still unedited, sure, but you have some good stuff. Okay. So how to write your book fast? Right? 4% of your book in 7 minutes dictate, but let me take this a little bit deeper now. It's like, well, how do I dictate and what do I do and all that kind of stuff.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [: have suddenly will have those: Ben Gioia ("joya") [:What do I actually say, Ben? Well, I'd like to use a very basic, yet sophisticated writing framework that some of you may have come across over the years in different contexts. And it's the, in marketing terms, it's the why, what, how, what if framework. Right, so 4 steps, 4 components, why, w h y, what, how, what if. Right? And these originally came from a Harvard psychologist, I believe, named David Kolb, quite a few years ago. Right? So anytime you're gonna write a blog post, right, do a video, do an essay, write a tweet. Right, you can even make it that small. Follow that framework of why, what, how, what if, right, and especially follow that framework of why, what, how, what if for the dictation. Right? And we can do it together right now real quick.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:I'll just have you sketch shit out. Okay? So the why is why should the, you know, audience reader, listener, viewer, etcetera, why should they care? So you literally tell them, you know, in this video or in this chapter of the book, you're gonna learn how to make the best gluten free chocolate chip cookies you've ever made, if that's what your book is about. Right? So you've given the person the reason why, and then give them some context, text, the what. Right? It can be context, it can be science, it could be information in in the news, it could be history, it could be, you know, a story like a case study, but it's something that that clarifies the why. So if if the why was, hey. Watch to this video to make great chocolate chip great gluten free chocolate chip cookies, then you give some story and some background and some context because of, you know, chocolate chip cookies have been around since the beginning of Egypt. I don't know. Ancient Egypt and but they could never make good gluten free ones and now thanks to science and technology and all sorts of, you know, good kind of things.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:People can today make gluten free excellent gluten free chocolate chip cookies. Okay? So that was the what. I gave a little story. I fleshed it out. I gave some context, some history. You don't have to do all the things. Right? But some of that stuff because we human beings, we love story and we love to understand. We know why we're listening.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Okay. Tell me more of why I'm listening. And help me really understand the juice. Right? And then and then so it's why, what, and then the next step is how. Right? So you wanna give the person 1 to 3, maybe 5 at the most steps to take in in, you know, that paragraph, that section. Right? And it can be as simple as to find out more, turn the page. Right? To find out more, click click subscribe down below. Right? To bake the cookies, you know, get the ingredients, just warm up the oven and follow the instructions.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Right? It could be 3 steps. Right? So why, what, how, what if. The what if part is the imagination. Right? It just give the listener, the reader, the audience, your ideal client for that matter. Paint the picture of what it looks like to have achieved what you just taught them in in the last few paragraphs. So, you know, imagine eating stellar gluten free chocolate chip cookies and enjoying them like when you're a kid and being able to share that with your grandchildren without all the gluten drawbacks. Right? So I've just given the what if. I've painted the picture of possibility and their future for them.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Right? So Let's pull this all back together now. So to sketch out what you're gonna dictate, I'd like to use the why, what, how, what if framework. Why should the reader or listener pay attention? What is the context, etcetera, the story around it, the how is some action steps to take, and the what if is painting a picture for their future. Right? So I write down why, what, how, what, if on a piece of paper. I put a few bullet points in each to give myself talking points. Right, and then I turn on Otter or I turn on Fathom Notetaker, you know, something that's gonna record my voice and transcribe it into text almost automatically, and then I set the timer for 7 minutes. Right? Don't call longer than 7 minutes because you're gonna end up having to deal with a whole bunch of text. Right.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [: minutes,: Ben Gioia ("joya") [: word book. Right?: Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Right? All sorts of content. And another beautiful part is that it is your authentic voice. Right? So a lot of people think about or make the comment of like, oh, I'm not a good writer and, you know, I don't like to write all those kinds of things. And I and I get that. I I understand those challenges and those experiences that people have had. But if you give your voice or pardon me, if you share your voice or use your voice through dictation, you know, it's just like channeling the download through your mouth. Right? And you're not pausing to go. Is that the right word? Is that the right punctuation? You know, should I pause right there and, you know, insert a dash or an m dash? None of that stuff.
Ben Gioia ("joya") [:Right? Because you're just speaking your truth, speaking your goodness, and sharing your message, which is the most important part of all of this and sharing your human message. Right? Because again, you know, the robots can help, the AI can help tremendously, and the core of who you are, the core of your message, the core of the information that you offer will not come from AI. It will come from your heart, your mind, and this great mystery that we all get to hang out in together. So with that, my name is Ben Joya. I'm so glad you're here. Hey. This weekend, I know it's last call or last minute, but check out the podcast and book roadmap, podcast and book.com. Once again, podcast and book.com.
